Dry Ingredients
  1. 3 cups rolled oats
  2. 3 T. oat bran
  3. ¼ cup wheat germ
  4. 2 cups nuts of your choice, whole or chopped. (we use 1c. each of whole almonds & whole pecans)
  5. ¼ cup sunflower seeds
  6. ¼ cup pumpkin seeds
Wet Ingredients
  1. 1/3 cup canola oil
  2. 2/3 cups honey
  3. 3 T. maple syrup
  4. 1 t. vanilla
Instructions
  1. Mix the dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Mix the wet ingredients together in another large bowl. Be sure to mix them really well until all ingredients are well acquainted (keep stirring and stirring!)
  3. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients and thoroughly mix together with rubber spatula making sure all ingredients are “wet”.
  4. Spread evenly on large sheet pan covered with parchment paper.
  5. Bake in a 240° oven for 1 ½ hours, stirring up and spreading out evenly, every 30 minutes.
  6. Remove and let it cool completely on rack.
  7. Break into small pieces and store the granola in an airtight container.
Notes
  1. You can also add other ingredients such as cranberries, raisins, flax seed, coconut, etc. Be creative and fill it with what you love!
