Our beautiful mountain Bed & Breakfast is located in Asheville, only three miles from downtown, five miles from the Biltmore Estate and two miles from the Grove Park Inn. Secluded and quiet with beautiful views, the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn offers the perfect balance for those who wish to retreat in a relaxed mountain setting and still want easy access to the restaurants, cultural offerings, and outdoor activities of Asheville.
Patti was born and raised in New Jersey but lived in California and Colorado before moving to North Carolina in 2003. She has over 20 years’ experience in the hotel industry. After receiving her culinary training, Patti opened Lemongrass, a catering and event planning business specializing in weddings and parties. She enjoys cooking, entertaining, decorating, hiking, drawing, and calligraphy. She could spend all day in an antique shop, reads cookbooks like most people read novels and loves spending time with her two beautiful granddaughters!
Michael (most people call him Bear) was born in New Jersey but raised in Colorado. He is a General Contractor and was a chef for Lemongrass. His expertise in construction was used extensively in the renovation and remodeling of the Inn. Bear enjoys cooking, entertaining, hiking in the mountains, and just about anything you do outdoors. He enjoys spending time with their two Labs, Charlie & Bailey and can’t get enough of his two wonderful granddaughters!
Bear and Patti have been married for 36 years and have one daughter, Christine. They both enjoy meeting new people, working together, living in North Carolina, and feel very blessed to have the opportunity to share their beautiful mountain setting with new and old friends.
The next time you visit the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn, please take a minute to meet and speak with Rosy. When she joined us three years ago, she immediately fit right in with her impressive work ethic, high standards, and pleasant personality! She works very hard at keeping the guest rooms and the entire inn clean and beautiful for all of our guests. Rosy has lived in the beautiful western North Carolina mountains all of her life and married her husband, Mark, 20 years ago.
Rosy enjoys being involved in her church as well as camping, fishing, and boating, but her main passion is her family! She and her sisters care for their parents, and Rosy & Mark are the main caregivers for their niece and three nephews.
With her background in customer service, marketing, and advertising as well as her excellent cleaning skills and attention to details, we are delighted that she is part of the Crooked Oak Mountain Inn family!
